The
Ramona Animal Shelter (RAS) began
in 1969 to improve the humane treatment
of animals.
With
the inspiration of our founders and
the help of our supporters, RAS found
a new home at 690 Humane Way in 1994.
The 10-acre site includes a shelter
that takes in as many as 600 dogs
and 500 cats a month, a low-cost spay
and neuter clinic, a barn-yard area
for livestock, and a large duck pond
that is home to unwanted water fowls
as well as migrating visitors.
All this
was accomplished through the generosity
of our contributors!
Ramona
Animal Shelter is a private, non-profit
humane society and receives no government
funding. All our humane animal services
are made possible by the generosity
of our contributors.
